Oil Pressure Fix is a professional ECU file modification tool designed to optimize
engine oil pressure control in selected VAG, BMW and Stellantis diesel and petrol engines.
The software modifies ECU binary files read with popular tuning tools such as
Magicmotorsport FLEX, AutoTuner, KESS, CMD Flash, dFox and other professional ECU programmers.

The main purpose of the software is to modify factory oil pressure control strategies that may reduce oil pressure,
particularly at lower engine speeds and loads. Increasing the requested oil pressure can help improve lubrication
conditions in supported engines.

For DCM7.1 A/B ECUs, the software also supports
oil pressure increase and Start/Stop system deactivation.

The latest versions of Oil Pressure Fix also include support for
BMW MD1CS001, MD1CP002 and EDC17C50 with B47D20 engines.

Why Modify the Factory Oil Pressure Strategy?

Many modern engines use electronically controlled oil pressure systems that adjust oil pressure depending on
engine speed, engine load, oil temperature and other operating conditions.

In some applications, the factory calibration can request relatively low oil pressure during
low-RPM and low-load operation. These strategies are commonly used to reduce the mechanical load on the oil pump,
improve engine efficiency and reduce fuel consumption and emissions.

However, lower oil pressure may also reduce the lubrication reserve available to critical engine components,
especially during prolonged low-RPM operation or in engines with higher mileage.

Oil Pressure Fix allows professional tuners and automotive workshops to modify these calibration parameters directly
inside the ECU binary file.

The software automatically identifies supported calibration areas and applies the required changes without the need
to manually search for oil pressure maps, switches or related calibration values.

Simple One-Click ECU File Modification

Using Oil Pressure Fix is simple:

1. Read the original ECU file using your preferred ECU programming tool.
2. Open the binary file in Oil Pressure Fix.
3. Apply the available oil pressure modification.
4. For supported EDC17CP44 files, adjust the idle speed if required.
5. Save the modified ECU file.
6. Write the modified file back to the ECU using your programming tool.

Compatible ECU Programming Tools

Oil Pressure Fix works with binary ECU files read using most professional ECU programming tools, including:

• AutoTuner
• Alientech KESS
• CMD Flash
• dFox
• and other professional ECU read/write tools

The ECU file must contain the required calibration data in a format supported by the current Oil Pressure Fix version.

EDC17CP44 Idle Speed Calibration

For EDC17CP44 ECUs, Oil Pressure Fix also provides an additional idle speed calibration function.
Depending on the ECU software revision, the factory idle speed may be calibrated at approximately 700 RPM or 780 RPM.

In some EDC17CP44 software revisions, the factory setting of approximately 700 RPM is relatively low for optimal oil pump operation. At such a low engine speed, the oil pump also operates at a lower rotational speed, which may result in lower oil pressure and reduced oil flow at idle.

Oil Pressure Fix allows the user to smoothly adjust the engine idle speed according to the requirements of the vehicle. The idle speed can be freely increased up to 1000 RPM.

The idle speed modification is integrated directly into Oil Pressure Fix.
After opening a supported EDC17CP44 file, the user can select the desired idle speed without manually searching for the relevant calibration maps.

The selected idle speed is written directly into the ECU calibration.
This allows the tuner to increase the engine idle speed from the original factory value and select a value better suited to the required oil pressure strategy. The example below shows the calibration after modification.

This additional function gives professional ECU tuners more control over EDC17CP44 low-RPM operation and makes it possible to combine oil pressure optimization with idle speed calibration in a single tool.

Software Compatibility and Requirements

• Compatible with Windows 7, Windows 10 and Windows 11.
• A stable internet connection is required for software operation and verification.
• Each license is valid for one computer only.
• The license is assigned to the activated computer and is non-transferable.
• The software is not designed for installation or operation inside virtual machines.

Activation and Licensing

Each Oil Pressure Fix license is activated for one computer using an individual activation file.
Activation instructions are provided after purchase.

The standard activation process usually takes up to 24 hours and may take up to
48 hours during weekends.

License type: perpetual license for one computer.

Single-Computer License

Each CTN Software product license is intended for use on one computer only.
The software may be used for personal or professional purposes by the original license holder.

Non-Transferable License

The license is non-transferable. It may not be sold, rented, leased, sublicensed or redistributed to another person
or company unless otherwise agreed in writing by CTN Software.

Beta Functions and Software Updates

Oil Pressure Fix is continuously developed and support for new ECU software versions and additional control units
may be introduced in future updates.

Some newly introduced solutions, including selected SIMOS18 variants, may initially be available
as beta functionality.

Although the software is extensively tested before release, ECU software can differ depending on vehicle model,
engine version, production year and ECU software revision.

Oil Pressure Fix is designed for professional ECU tuners, automotive electronics specialists and workshops
